HEAD ATHLETIC TRAINER

Felician University, an independent Catholic/Franciscan university with campuses in Lodi and Rutherford, N.J., seeks qualified applicants for the position of head athletic trainer. Felician sponsors 14 NCAA Division II intercollegiate athletics programs, six for men and eight for women.

The opening is a full-time, 12-month position with benefits. The successful candidate will have an office on the Rutherford campus and report to the director of athletics.

Main responsibilities include:

  • General operation of athletic training room
  • Athletic team coverage
  • Maintenance of injury reports
  • Supervision and scheduling of a full-time assistant athletic trainer
  • Working in conjunction with team doctors and coaching staff

QUALIFICATIONS

Required qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree from an approved curriculum
  • NATABOC certification
  • New Jersey Board of Medical Examiners licensure or eligibility
  • CPR/AED/FA certification
  • The ability to work well with student-athletes and function effectively in a Catholic university environment.

ASSISTANT BASEBALL COACH

 

Felician University, an independent Catholic/Franciscan university with campuses in Lodi and Rutherford, N.J., seeks qualified applicants for the position of assistant baseball coach. Felician is a member of NCAA Division II and competes in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC).

The opening is a part-time, 10-month position, without benefits. The successful candidate will report to the head baseball coach and the director of athletics.

Main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • As the program’s recruiting coordinator, identifying, scouting and recruiting potential baseball student-athletes, including in-person, e-mail, telephone and mail correspondence.
  • Serving as head coach of the junior varsity team.
  • Assisting head coach in organizing, preparing and conducting individual and team practices, training and competition.
  • Traveling with team to and from all away contests, except for junior varsity conflicts. Driving team van when applicable. Assisting in travel arrangements.
  • Demonstrating strong knowledge of NCAA Division II rules and regulations by passing the Division II Coaches Certification Test annually.
  • Complying with all aspects of the Felician University Coach’s Manual. Ensuring student-athlete compliance with the CACC Code of Conduct.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required qualifications include

  • Associate and/or bachelor’s degree.
  • Demonstrated successful baseball coaching experience
  • Knowledge of NCAA Division II rules and regulations
  • The ability to work well with student-athletes and function effectively in a Catholic college environment.

Preferred qualifications include

  • Previous collegiate coaching experience
  • Master’s degree
