RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Felician College sophomore Brennan Price (Middlesex, N.J./Middlesex) has been named to the 2015 All-Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Baseball First Team, according to balloting released on Monday.
The CACC's all-conference teams and major award winners were voted upon by its 11 head coaches. Winners will be formally honored at the annual CACC Baseball Awards Banquet, to be held Wednesday night on the campus of Wilmington (Del.) University.
Price, a 6-foot-9, 260-pound first-baseman, is the only Golden Falcon on this year's all-CACC baseball teams. In 47 games, he batted .277 with 11 doubles, two triples, four home runs, 23 runs scored and 35 runs batted in. He is tied for third in the CACC in homers and tied for fourth in RBI.
"Brennan appears to have won the respect of the coaches in our conference," said Felician head coach Chris Langan. "We had a young line-up this year, and a lot of teams pitched really carefully to him, and he still put up pretty good numbers."
Price is an all-CACC awardee for the second time. He was the Second Team designated hitter as a freshman in 2014. He is a 2013 graduate of Middlesex High.
Felician completed the 2015 season with a won-lost record of 20-27, and tied for fifth in the CACC with an 11-9 league mark. The Golden Falcons were defeated in the single-elimination opening round of the conference playoffs by Chestnut Hill College on May 2.
Felician finished the academic year with nine student-athletes earning all-conference honors.
