NYACK, N.Y. – A goal with 59 seconds left in the second overtime period lifted Nyack College to a 3-2 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference men's soccer victory over visiting Felician University on Wednesday night at Nyack High School.

Senior midfielder Martin Williams (Brooklyn, N.Y.) converted an equalizing penalty kick in each half for Felician (0-5-2, 0-2-1 CACC) for his first multi-goal game as a Golden Falcons.

On the game-winning goal, Nyack junior Nicholas Scarafile (Brampton, Ontario) collected a long free kick from Warrior goalkeeper Wiktor Lasota (Lodz, Poland), evaded two defenders, and put a shot into the lower left corner of the net.

Nyack (2-5, 1-2) opened the night's scoring in the 13th minute, on Carlos Hernandez's (Tegucigalpa, Honduras) first goal of the season. Felician tied the score when it was awarded a penalty at the 25:17 mark and Williams knocked it home. But with 5:09 remaining in the first half, the Warriors took the lead again when sophomore Finn Reese (Winsen, Germany) struck after a free kick was blocked and caromed to him.

In the 55th minute, the Warriors again committed a foul in the penalty area, and once again Williams converted to even the match. Nyack got off 11 shots in the second period but could not score. Felician junior keeper John Burns (Saddle Brook, N.J.) made six saves in the half, and another Nyack offering, by Reese in the 61st minute, hit a goalpost.

Nyack owned a 23-12 shot advantage, including 5-3 during the two overtime periods. Warrior junior Francois Legeodec (Etreville, France) topped all players with seven attempts. Burns completed the night with nine saves, and Lasota was credited with three.

The teams combined to commit 53 fouls in a contest that lasted two hours, 37 minutes.
