RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Felician University senior Nicole Spiegelberg (Blauvelt, N.Y./Tappan Zee) has been selected as the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Softball Player of the Week for the period ending Mar. 1, the CACC announced on Monday. Spiegelberg wins the award for the fourth time in her career.

Spiegelberg's latest honor comes following Felician's season-opening weekend in Winter Haven, Fla. In six games, the 5-foot-7 first baseman went 6 for 15 (.400) with a double, two home runs, and four runs scored. She drew three walks for a .500 on-base percentage while slugging .867.

During the Golden Falcons' only victory of the week, an 8-3 win over Notre Dame (Ohio) College in Friday's season opener, Spiegelberg was 3 for 3 plus a walk and scored three times. Her home run leading off the seventh inning was the 30th of her career, setting the Felician all-time record she shared during the off-season with Ciera Clark (2012-15).

Spiegelberg is a 2017 graduate of Tappan Zee High of Orangeburg, N.Y. She is the only two-time all-region softball player in Felician history, and holds program career records for home runs (31) and walks (66).
