NYACK, N.Y. – Nyack College scored twice in the final 11 minutes to earn a 2-0 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference women's soccer victory over visiting Felician University on Tuesday afternoon at Moseley Field.

After the defenses took center stage for most of the contest, Nyack (2-4, 2-2 CACC) broke through when freshman Brianna Sparrow (Cherry Hill, N.J.) collected a pass just outside of the 18-yard box on the right side. Felician senior goalkeeper Bjonda Ademi (Wayne, N.J.) came out to challenge, but Sparrow evaded Ademi and put a low diagonal shot just inside the left goalpost with 10:31 remaining in regulation time.

Warrior junior Rebekah Lawler (Lacey, N.J.) scored with 0:36 to play for the final margin.

Ademi made two difficult first-half saves and came out to halt a Nyack breakaway in the period. Felician senior defender Carly Brantner (Shrewsbury, N.J.) also cleared a ball off the goal line to help keep the game scoreless. Golden Falcon midfielder Amanda Nowak (Lyndhurst, N.J.) hit a goalpost with a shot in the 11th minute, as did Nyack's Lawler in the early stages of the second half.

Warrior keeper Julianna Kranes (Montgomery, N.Y.) earned the shutout with 10 saves. Ademi stopped five shots for the Golden Falcons (1-4, 0-2). Felician was blanked for the second consecutive match in which it led in shots (15-13) and corner kicks (5-1).

Felician junior Danielle Stoll (Wanaque, N.J.) was the most active player with six shot attempts on the day. Tauntyonah Guinter (Rosendale, N.Y.) got off five shots for the Warriros.
