Calero, McKeever Guide Volleyball Past Nyack

NYACK, N.Y. – Freshman outside hitter Paulina Calero (El Centro, Calif.) hit .273 with 12 kills and a season-high 16 digs to lead Felician College to a 3-0 (25-16, 26-24, 25-15) Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference women's volleyball victory over host Nyack College on Wednesday night at Bowman Gymnasium.

The Felician defense rolled up advantages on the night of 69-56 in digs and 6-2 in blocks. The Golden Falcons (4-14, 2-5 CACC) also took advantage of 12 Nyack service errors.

Senior setter Susie McKeever (North Fort Myers, Fla.) guided the Felician offense to a .260 team attack percentage, its second-best output of the season. McKeever herself hit .385 and produced five kills, 21 assists and nine digs.

The Golden Falcons hit .297 in capturing the first set. After getting past the second-set in extra points, Felician wrapped up the match with a .364 attack percentage in Set 3.

Sophomore outside Alexus Winers (Yorba Linda, Calif.) paced the Warriors (1-13, 0-6) with eight kiills and eight digs.
