RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Felician University sophomore Sierra Gallagher (Honolulu, Hawaii/Kamehameha) has been selected as the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women's Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week for the period ending Nov. 17, the CACC announced today. Gallagher earns the award for the sixth time this season and the eighth occasion of her career.

Monday marked the final set of CACC weekly volleyball awards to be handed out for the 2019 season. The conference championship tournament begins on Tuesday.

Gallagher is believed to be the second Felician student-athlete, and first female, to ever capture the same conference weekly honor six times in one season. Rob Albano won or shared the CACC Men's Cross-Country Runner of the Week award six times in 2011.

Gallagher, a 5-foot-5 libero, averaged 6.75 digs and 1.25 assists per set during a 1-1 week for Felician, all at home and all in conference play. She posted 26 digs in a 3-1 home loss to Caldwell University on No. 13. Gallagher followed with 28 digs, six assists and three aces during a 3-1 win at the Jefferson Rams on Saturday which clinched the CACC North Division regular-season championship for Felician.
